Ten people were injured in two two explosions on Friday in an ammunition depot near the Krasnoyarsk region of northern Siberia, a Russian emergency service source said.

“There were two powerful explosions, where the army is stationed was partially shattered in the village of Kamenka (near the warehouse),” the source told TASS news agency.

“Six of the injured were given outpatient care while the other four were taken to hospital,” medical sources told TASS.


According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the explosions occurred when lightning hit a pile of ammunition, pointing out that the residents of Kaminka village, near the ammunition depot, will be evacuated to a safe area.
