Hurricane Dorian has had major repercussions on a number of US cities, with photographs taken by Reuters showing the devastation of the hurricane.

According to a UN report, about 70,000 people in the Bahamas have been devastated by Hurricane Durian, which swept through the archipelago on Monday, leaving 20 people dead and hundreds injured.

About 70,000 people in the Bahamas are in need of immediate help because of the devastating Hurricane Dorian that swept through the archipelago, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Mark Lokoc said on Wednesday.

The UN official from the Nassau region, where he arrived for a few hours’ visit, said the world body had transferred $ 1 million from its emergency fund to provide initial assistance to the victims.
