The White House confirmed that US President Joe Biden will deliver his first speech at the United Nations General Assembly on September 21.
Biden is set to travel to New York City, home to the UN headquarters, on Sept. 21.
One year earlier, then-President Donald Trump’s final address to the international institution was delivered virtually, as the coronavirus pandemic raged in the absence of a viable vaccine.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden described the huge fires that broke out in the US state of California, a natural disaster.
A statement issued by the White House stated, “President Joe Biden declared a major disaster in California and ordered action to be taken in the areas affected by the Kaldor fire.”
