Chinese President Xi Jinping called on countries of the world to join hands and start a new journey of high-quality development for humanity.

Addressing the Leaders Summit of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Chinese president said, “The development of ecological civilization should be taken. As a guide to coordinating the relationship between man and nature, there is a need to preserve human activities within the limits of ecology and the environment.

He urged efforts to let green transformation lead people’s efforts in facilitating global sustainable development, calling for strengthening green international cooperation to share the fruits of green development among all countries.

He stressed the need to improve the welfare of peoples to enhance equity and justice at the social level, noting that international law should be the basis for supporting a just and equitable global governance system.

Chinese President Xi Jinping also announced that his country intends to launch executive plans to reach the peak of carbon dioxide emissions in key areas and sectors, in addition to a series of supportive measures, in pursuit of its goals related to reaching the peak of carbon emissions as well as carbon neutrality .

Addressing the Leaders Summit of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 15), the Chinese president said, “The country will also implement the “1 + N” policy framework of peak carbon and carbon neutrality,” noting that China It will continue to adjust its industrial structure and energy mix and aggressively develop renewable energy .

“We will make faster progress in planning and developing large wind power and photovoltaic bases in sandy areas, rocky areas and deserts,” he added, revealing that the first phase of projects with an installed capacity of about 100 million kilowatts had begun construction recently .
