Premier Imran Khan, speaking at the “biggest” rallies in the history of PTI, said that “foreign-backed elements” are involved in the attempts of forcible topple of his government.
Imran Khan, whilst reading from a carefully written speech, took out a letter from his pocket and flashed it to the public gathered in the Amal Bil Maroof rally and declared that paper as a “Written threat” that proves the interference of foreign powers to topple his government, which includes “some” of our people.
“We received a threat in writing and I have the evidence,” Khan said during a speech for party supporters at a rally in the capital.
Khan said that he had been asked to step down in the “national interest” but did not provide any further details.
Leaving the critical details, such as the name of the country and persons involved, Khan said that “a lot of things will be revealed to the nation at the right time“. Premier added that for months, “plotting and planning is being carried out to influence the foreign policy of Pakistan from outside.”
Further, PM Khan said that “I am aware of people acting behest the foreign-backed elements” and said that “whomsoever doubts the authenticity of this letter (written threat), I invite them off-the-record to indulge them with the details.“
