Mehboob Shaikh organizes reception in the honor of Dr. Rahman

Senior journalist, author, and social worker, Mehboob Ali Shaikh held a reception in the honor of a known Psychologist and M.D International Calgary Canada Dr. Abdul Rahman, which was also attended by Canadian journalists and Dr. Dilkash Panjwani.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Abdul Rahman thanked Mehboob Shaikh and added that he was proud that Shaikh is serving as the bridge between Pakistan and Canada.

He said the Covid pandemic had impacted all walks of life, and especially among children healthy activities were still missing.

He urged the parents to promote healthy activities among their children. He said longer screen time for children is quite injurious.

Dr. Abdul Rahman informed that there are 25,000 Pakistanis in Calgary and added that MDI had provided guidelines to protect against Covid in 25 different languages.

On the occasion, Mehboob Shaikh presented the book ‘Hazaron Inkishafat (thousands of revelations)’ authored by journalist Latafat Siddiqui, to Dr. Abdul Rahman.

Shaikh underlined the importance of social responsibilities along with journalistic responsibilities to deal with the various challenges prevalent in society.
