The Olympic torch will not pass through public roads in the capital, except for small areas, from July 9 to 16, in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among citizens.

The local authorities in Japan indicated that the Olympic torch was scheduled to pass through 46 Japanese prefectures, while the state of emergency in the country ends on July 11.

The Japanese authorities had decided to postpone the Summer Olympics in the capital, Tokyo, since the last year 2020; Due to the Corona pandemic, it will be held this summer, starting from July 23, and continuing until next August 8.
