Toronto Sikh community donates $40,000 for flood relief in Pakistan

The sikh community in Canada has started activities to support and help the flood effected people in Pakistan.

Amerjit Maan and Pal Singh Waliwar of Ontario Gurdwara Committee held an event at the largest Gurdwara of Brampton, wherein a donation of $40,000 was made to the Pakistan Prime Minister Flood Relief Fund.

The donation was presented to Pakistan’s Acting Council General in Toronto Yasir Iqbal Butt, President Pakistan Canada Global Congress Zafar Chaudhry and Mehboob Shaikh.

Speaking on the occasion Yasir Iqbal Butt said thanked Sikh community in Toronto and said Pakistan was facing serious challenges due to the recent floods.
