According to the spokesperson for the United Nations, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is working to ensure that children do not interrupt learning, and in cooperation with partners, it is distributing educational materials to nearly 300,000 children across multiple states and regions so that they can continue their education from home.

More than 12 million children in Myanmar have not been able to access regular learning for more than 18 months, with dire consequences for their education, against the backdrop of the events in the country,” said Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN Secretary-General.

“UNICEF is also helping to provide safe and continuous learning to more than 180,000 children in ethnic minority areas through educational materials and support at home,” the UN spokesperson added.
