Finance ministry says no discussion with IMF on Pak Rupee parity

After the rumors spread through some media outlets and on the social media, Ministry of Finance has clarified that there are no discussions with International Monetary Fund (IMF) of Pakistani Rupee parity verses USD.

However, Ministry of Finance well informed source said that the IMF will negotiate with State Bank of Pakistan of exchange policy rate.

The rumors circulated on social media that IMF pressures Pakistan to push Pak Rupee to the level of Rs 150 or so against USD.

Pakstani Rupee traded on Rs 140.39 against USD in the interbank and Rs 140. 30 in cash free market in the mid hours on Tuesday.

During current month Pakistani Rupee depreciated around 1.12 percent against US dollar
