Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has extended the deadline of non-compliant cellular phone registration upto January 25, following the recommendations of the Senate Standing Committee.
The Senate body on Informational Technology (IT) and Telecommunication had directed the IT Ministry and PTA to push the last date for the phone registration until the launch of the online phone registration portal.
A notification from PTA confirmed that unregistered IMEIs can now be registered with the regulator till January 25.
