Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Thursday that his country is determined to strengthen its defense capabilities despite mounting pressure from the United States and its allies to curb Tehran’s ballistic missile program.
“We will continue to strengthen Iran’s defensive power despite pressure from America and our enemies,” Khamenei said in a speech broadcast live on state television.
“We need to move Iran to a point where enemies realize they cannot threaten it … America’s sanctions will make Iran self-sufficient.” Khamenei said
