Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian president, said in remarks reported by Russian media, that the formation of the constitutional committee in Syria has become very imminent.

“Although work is nearing completion, we are in fact one step away from finalizing the ground on the establishment of a constitutional commission,” he added.

Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced earlier that the Tripartite summit between Russia, Turkey and Iran on Syria will be held on September 11 in Ankara.

The heads of state of the ASEAN guarantors, Turkish Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian Vladimir Putin and Iranian Hassan Rouhani, held more than one summit on Syria, the latest of which was in the Russian city of Sochi in mid-February.
