A new report showed that the global PC market is experiencing a continuous decline, with results of shipments in the first quarter of this year about 58.5 million computers, down about 2 million devices from the same period last year.

According to Phonearena, Gartner and IDC estimates slightly differ from first-quarter shipments, but they agree on this quarter. Gartner estimates the decline in the first quarter of this year was 4.6 %.

It is pertinent to mention that the desktop and laptop market suffered a six-year decline before it achieved a slight growth in the second quarter of last year, after which the market returned to stability and then receded.
