The first six OneWeb satellites for global Internet are launched aboard a Soyuz rocket into space. The rocket took from the spaceport at Kourou in French Guiana, as the operator Arianespace announced.
The American company OneWeb wants to provide the entire world with low-cost Internet in a few years, for which a total of hundred satellites to be brought into the space.
The OneWeb satellites sent to the low earth orbit at the height of 1200 kilometers.
It is the second mission of Arianespace this year. In early February launched a launcher Ariane 5.
Arianespace is part of the ArianeGroup, which in turn is a joint venture of the European aviation group Airbus and the French engine manufacturer Safran.
