The number of users on social media sites in Kuwait reached 3.9 million, 98% of the total number of Internet users in general and 92% of the total population.

Around 1.3 million people in Kuwait use social media via mobile phones, 73% of the total population, while the percentage of Internet connected devices is 168% of the total population in Kuwait.

On the most popular application in Kuwait, the number of Facebook users reached 3 million active users (29% female, 71% male), which led to the introduction of Instagram, with an active number of 1.8 million users (38% female, 62% male), followed by Twitter with 1.68 million users (25% female 75% male) and Snap Chat with a total number of users of 1.65 million users (55% The application that is more popular than females; it contains filters for image modification, it is distinguished from other applications, while the list is followed by the application of “LinkedIn” by 600 thousand active users.

President of the World Club for electronic media said that the “YouTube” is the most popular sites in terms of research in Kuwait, followed by Google, Facebook, Amazon and Twitter reflecting the wide spread of video among the segments of Kuwaiti society.
