Apple users looking for additional privacy can now take advantage of the new hidden browsing mode in Google Maps, as the company has begun to introduce this mode, which prevents data from being linked to your Google Account on iOS devices.

This step is the next progress in the privacy feature since Google included the hidden browsing mode in Android versions of the application last month.

“Google feature can activate the mode by clicking on their account icon in the upper-right corner”

It will lead the incognito browsing feature from the tech giant to shut down many of the data collection points, including search history and log sites, while mode is activated, the application will not be used to customize any person settings data in the application as well.

Those looking to use the new Google feature can activate the mode by clicking on their account icon in the upper-right corner, then clicking “Turn on hidden browsing mode”.

The hidden browsing mode may help to attract users who have become increasingly interested in the information that is stored and tracked by the company for targeted advertising.
