Intel (NYSE: Intel), the industry leader in processor chips, unveiled a set of new X-Generation processors for use in laptops and 2×1 devices.

According to the Gadgetsnow, these processors feature the Ice name and come with enhanced graphics and support for wireless communications such as Wi-Fi 6 and Thunderbolt 3 with significant improvements in image and game editing tasks. The first set of X-Generation processors is expected to arrive during the holiday season The next number will be about 35 versions and comes with Ice Lake-U and Ice Lake-Y.

In terms of specifications, the X-Generation processors are 4-core, with 6 or 8 MB cache, and support up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory, and there will be a number of types in terms of power consumption, ranging from 9 up to 28 watts, and frequency up to 4.1 GHz with turbocharging feature.

“This series of processors brings high-performance AI to the PC on a large scale,” said Chris Walker, Intel’s vice president of corporate and general manager, Mobility Platforms. “These Intel Core X-Generation  processors deliver the model to what it means to achieve the leader in notebook platforms”.
