The US government is spending millions of dollars on building smart missile, which can easily chase the targets. These missiles will use the global positioning system to identify enemy tanks and armored shells, which will be pre-scanned from the sky.

According to sources, the Pentagon will invest large sums in AI-powered munitions, which may be ready by 2021, to replace conventional multipurpose artillery shells (DPICM), introduced in the 1980s.

Smart missile will reach 60 kilometers, will be able to search more than 28 square kilometers for their targets, and will also have a method of slowing down, such as an umbrella or small wings, that they will use while scanning and classifying objects.

“Smart missile will improve our capabilities to avoid collateral damage”, US military spokesperson

A spokesman for the US military: “This is not a self-weapon, and is not intended to be so, as we seek to obtain advanced capabilities, and this smart missile will improve our capabilities to avoid collateral damage.”

Previously, the US military developed a missile that uses infrared sensors to locate and attack vehicles, but its reach did not reach 200 meters.
