22 people died of coronavirus in Iran, 141 confirmed infections and counting

As of Thursday 27, February, 22 people have died in Iran from the Coronavirus and a total of 141 confirmed cases.

It is noteworthy that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard threatened Iran’s doctors with imprisonment, if one of them discloses the true information about the spread of the Corona virus emerging in Iran, and the numbers of the injured and the deaths.

During a meeting of a group of doctors with the Deputy Minister of Health, Araj Hariri, last Saturday, to discuss the outbreak of the Corona virus in Iraqi cities, a member of the Revolutionary Guards contacted them through the security office at the Ministry of Health, and the doctors warned against leaking any information from Their discussions. The Revolutionary Guards officer assured the doctors that if any details were leaked, they would bear responsibility and would be punished and imprisoned.

Despite these threats, doctors assured the site that the situation in Iran is catastrophic, and that news and official figures released by the government do not reflect the reality.

During the past hours, the Iranian authorities announced the injury of the Deputy Minister of Health, Hariri, who held the meeting with the doctors.
