The Armenian Ministry of Defense denied targeting civilian sites in Azerbaijan, according to an urgent news broadcast, Azerbaijan announced that 4 civilians were killed in Armenian missile strikes.

Earlier, Armenia admitted last night that Nagorno Karabakh forces withdrew from a strategic town located between the region and the Iranian border, which may indicate a military victory for Azerbaijan after a truce brokered by the United States failed to end the month-long fighting. Since then, Azerbaijan has sought to regain control of Nagorno Karabakh, which is inhabited and ruled by Armenians. The worst fighting in the region in decades has killed hundreds.
