Canadian government has warned its citizens traveling to the UK to exercise maximum caution because of “the threat of terrorism“He said.

“We take the safety and security of Canadians abroad seriously and provide reliable and timely information on our travel advice to enable you to make informed decisions about travel abroad,” said a government statement.

In a tweet, the Canadian government warned of possible violence and confrontations in the UK due to the brexit. The Canadian Travel and Tourism Authority said “avoid areas where demonstrations and nearby metro stations are taking place” government stated.

The warning comes in the wake of concerns over what could happen after British lawmakers rejected the brexit agreement with the European Union for the third time on Friday. Thousands of supporters of Britain’s exit from the European Union took part in a demonstration outside parliament,.

Friday was the day the UK was due to leave the EU after the referendum, but British politicians have so far been unable to agree on details, describing it as the biggest political dilemma facing the United Kingdom in decades.
