Hundreds of thousands of tourists, especially astronomers have filled the wilderness of northern Chile yesterday, to witness the rare events of the solar eclipse.

The solar eclipse occurs when the moon moves between the earth and the sun, resulting in the planet being in the dark, and it is extremely rare throughout the world.

Meanwhile, the best location to watch the solar eclipse, is in the Atacama desert in the north of La Serena, when low humidity and light bulbs in urban areas create the most sunny sky conditions.
