Facebook plans to develop emotionally sensitive robots that can explore the world, identify things, people and enable users to make friends remotely. A patent file revealed that sensors would allow robots to know people to interact with, judge their emotional state, and listen to what they say.

At the same time, the robot can view photos, video and talk to people, allowing users to meet people and make new friends remotely, yet do not know whether Facebook will continue the process of patenting and making raw robot designs a reality.

According to the Daily Mail, the concept of social robots was clarified in a European patent by the social networking company on May 16, 2019.

Each robot will support cameras and other sensors. This will allow it to scan and interpret faces and body language of their potential emotional state. Microphones will allow robots to talk to people or to choose the voice of a person to call them.

If integrated into the social networking platform on Facebook, users can use robots to explore the real world and interact with people.
