Facebook and Instagram’s social media services have rebounded after yesterday’s disruption, preventing users from browsing their accounts.
“Earlier today, people were having trouble browsing their Facebook accounts. The issue has been successfully resolved and the social media service is 100 percent available, ” a company spokeswoman said in a statement.
According to Facebook, the disruption was caused by a problem with the main social media software, which left its service disrupted for several hours.
Most users took the opportunity to express their own dissatisfaction following the harassment on Twitter.
Downdetector, an internet problem monitor, said users began reporting the disturbance at 1.45pm (local time).
Similar to the previous disruption, the incident occurred unexpectedly and hit several parts of the world.
The social media network FB has 2.45 billion active users worldwide.
