The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has announced the arrival of the first humanitarian aid package to Venezuela.
News network ABC pointed out that medical supplies to address the most needy patients arrived in the capital Caracas.
Photos posted on social networking sites showed a group of workers unloading aid from a plane.
Venezuela is suffering from a deep political crisis after opposition leader Juan Guaido announced his temporary tenure as president and has since been recognized by more than 50 countries, including the United States, wants Nicolas Maduro to step down as president.
