Former US Senator Harry Reid called on the Senate Intelligence Committee to publish a report on UFOs that they had previously been assigned to, in his article for the New York Times.

The Former US Senator Harry Reid, 81, revealed in his article that during his tenure as the former majority leader in the US Senate, he was increasingly interested in UFOs, and said that he had no problem in the presence of aliens.

In December of last year, Senator Marco Rubio, head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, called for the declassification of Pentagon reports on unspecified weather phenomena. The Pentagon’s Weather Task Force has until June to present its findings to Congress.

“I think there is information revealed by secret government investigations into unidentified weather phenomena that can be disclosed to the public without harming our national security,” Reid wrote to the New York Times.

He added in his article: “The American people deserve to know more and we hope that they will do so soon, with the issuance of a comprehensive government report requested by the Senate Intelligence Committee about the army’s confrontations with UFOs.

He added: “I never intended to prove the existence of life outside Earth, but if science proves that it is, I have no problem with that because the more I learn, I realize that there is still a lot that I do not know.

In the article, Reed described his interest in unknown atmospheric phenomena – which most people refer to as UFOs, in 1996 after being called to a conference on the topic by an investigative reporter for KLAS-TV.

The report confirmed, that former government officials admitted that the observations are reliable, and that the origins of UFOs are still unknown.

These are not just eyewitness accounts, they are video clips and measurements taken after “multiple sensors that capture these things,” John Ratcliffe, a former director of national intelligence said.

It is noteworthy that Senator Reid, during his position as majority leader in the Senate in 2007, secured $ 22 million in funding for the Advanced Space Threat Identification Program and wrote that: “The Pentagon’s covert operation was investigating reports of the presence of foreign objects and other related phenomena, including This is the UFO confrontations in which American military personnel participated. ”
