NASA’s Near-Earth Objects Study Center revealed CNEOS, said a large asteroid larger than the Empire State Building in New York would approach Earth later this month.
According to CNEOS , The massive asteroid, dubbed 2006 QQ23, will pass the ground on August 10, with a diameter of 1870 feet, and is larger than the Empire State Building by more than 400 feet.
While NASA classified it as a near-Earth object, but it will be at the closest point at 3 am at about 4.6 million miles.
By default, if the asteroid collides with Earth, it could lead to massive destruction, Newsweek explained, which could cause an entire city to be obliterated.
