The Google Duo is one of the most popular communication applications in the world, and Google makes it accessible to users. The latest analysis of APK data from the application revealed that Google is seeking to provide a feature that allows users to log on to the Duo without the need for a linked phone number, as currently required to log into the application, and instead rely on e-mail.

According to the mspoweruser, while Duo usually asks the user to have a phone number to associate with the account, competing applications such as FaceTime and Facebook Messenger do not do so, and with the increasing popularity of Duo, Google may try to improve its appeal to users.

If Google allows users this feature, it will be easier for them to use it without the need for phone numbers.

The report also revealed that the app may support multiple accounts, allowing them to open more than one account on the same application, while Google Duo will be available to users on iOS, Android and the Web through the Web Progressive application.
