Google has built a huge image of the leading Margaret Hamilton software in Apollo 11 using solar mirrors and moon reflection in an effort to commemorate the 50th anniversary of NASA’s historic landing mission,

According to the TNW, the impressive technical installation at the Ivanpah Solar Power Facility in the Mojave Desert has produced a total of 107,000 solar mirrors to create a Hamilton image, larger than Central Park in New York City, 2.2 miles Square.

Once turned, the solar mirrors lit Hamilton’s face, along with a picture of a drone on the moon, where Hamilton is a prominent figure in the space world, who led the team that developed the onboard flight program for all of NASA’s manned Apollo missions, including The Apollo 11 historical mission, often credited with drafting the term “software engineering” in the 1960s as a means of giving discipline more legitimacy.
