International airlines will resume revenue growth next year as strong demand will outweigh the impact of cost pressures that reduced profitability in 2018, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said on Wednesday.

According to IATA, the sector’s profits are expected to rise to 35.5 billion dollars in 2019, compared with 32.3 billion this year.

IATA was forecast by earnings to reach $ 33.8 billion in 2018.

“The aviation sector is now on a more solid financial footing than ever before, ” said Director General and CEO Alexander de Juniac.
