Recent move by Facebook to place its name next to both WhatsApp and Instagram, which is owned by the company, could severely affect the popularity of these applications, particularly Instagram, a report from the verge revealed.

Analysts believe the control that Facebook is trying to impose on these applications may be of concern to some, especially after the creators of those applications decided to leave the company due to the disagreement with the new management of the “Mark Zuckerberg” and his team.

According to reports,  that Facebook will change the name of those applications to become “Instagram from Facebook” It will turn then WhatsApp to me ” and WhatsApp from Facebook”.

The company already follows this approach to a number of other applications it owns, but the situation can be serious when it is implemented with Instagram and WhatsApp due to the great popularity.

The report said, the popularity of Instagram and WhatsApp in August may be affected by their affiliation with Facebook, because it raises doubts about privacy and the protection of data and advertising.

The nature of the users is different and most people see it as a way to escape Facebook through those applications for new alternative.
