Iran and Iraq reaches Visa-Free agreement

A visa-free agreement between Iran and Iraq has been decided. Berviz İsmaili, Deputy Director of Iran’s Communication and Public Relations, made a statement from his social media account.

“Rouhani and Iraqi Prime Minister Abdul Mahdi, have reached to an agreement issuing visa exemption for citizens from both countries from April next month,” the expression used.

The Iranian president visited Baghdad on Monday to meet with the President of Barham Saleh and Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi.

Within the scope of the 3-day Rouhani visit, Najaf is expected to meet with Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, one of the biggest Shiite religious authority, and other political and religious officials in the country.

The Visa Free Agreement between the two countries has been reached.
