French President Emmanuel Macron promised to complete the renovation of the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, which was destroyed by fire, and that the restoration work will be completed in 2024.

Macron said: “We will hold out and rebuild the cathedral on schedule, what really matters to me is that work planning can be respected, and I offer respect to the architects and craftsmen, and now everyone is sure that we will get there in 2024.”

During an interview with the French newspaper Le Parisien, Macron said: “We have almost completely disappeared something that belongs to our culture, to our literary history, architectural, religious and secular, to the vision of France.

He continued: “I will not forget the scene of the horrific fire, as Notre Dame De Paris Cathedral is not only for the people of the capital, but for all the French, and it cannot be replaced. It could have disappeared, which is unimaginable. This moment affected us all,” noting that pieces of Oakwood are a hundred years old, to reconstruct the structure of the cathedral.
