For the first time since the 1970s, the United States plans to send equipment to the moon in 2020 and 2021, in preparation for a lunar mission by 2024, NASA reported on Friday.

According to the British Daily Mail website, the space agency has selected three US companies Astrobotic And Intuitive Machines And Orbit Beyond To send tools and other scientific equipment to the Moon as part of a program Artemis.

The move came after the administration of President Donald Trump accelerated the timetable for human re-positioning on the Moon by 2024, the new target date, after the Moon was expected to arrive by 2028.

Each company has developed lunar landing gear of various sizes and shapes, and landing hubs will deliver up to 23 small loads of equipment provided by NASA. This should include equipment that would collect information to help astronauts later descend and protect themselves from radiation.

The devices will attempt to land by July 2021 in a dark spot on the moon that can be seen from the ground and will facilitate the company SpaceX Facilitate this launch.
