Mikhail Ulyanov, permanent representative of Russia to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and international organizations in Vienna, called on Iran to refrain from taking further measures that could aggravate the situation surrounding the nuclear agreement.

“Russia understands the steps taken by Iran and the reasons that led to its implementation, but we call on Iran to refrain from taking further measures that could complicate the situation on the nuclear agreement,” Ulyanov said in a statement on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Tehran announced its adoption of the second step of reducing its commitments to the nuclear agreement in 2015 and to start increasing uranium enrichment to more than 3.67%.
