Nikolai Patrushev, secretary of the Russian Security Council, said that 9 terrorist attacks in the North Caucasus were prevented, and the activity of 13 (ISIS) terrorist cells was eliminated during the past year.

Patrushev added – According to Russia Today, “During the past year, Russian security forces managed to liquidate 26 terrorists and prevent 22 crimes of a terrorist nature, including 9 terrorist operations.

He explained that in the framework of achieving the decisions of the last meeting, which was held in Makhachkala, April 2019, work was done to prevent the destabilization of the socio-political situation in the North Caucasus, stressing that security men were able to implement a set of activities and measures aimed at preventing terrorist and extremist activities.

It is worth noting that the popular crowd was exposed to ISIS terrorist gangs in Salah al-Din Governorate, Iraq the day before yesterday.

A statement by the Hashd organization published by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that the Popular Mobilization Forces repelled an attack against ISIS terrorist gangs on the “Al-Sahl” road linking the Baiji district and the Al-Chinaiya district of Salah al-Din Governorate.

He indicated that there were casualties among terrorist gangs after the crowd responded.

Last Saturday, the Iraqi Popular Mobilization announced the arrest of the ISIS coordinator outside Iraq.

The crowd said in a statement reported by the Iraqi “Alsumaria News” channel, that “the command of the Nineveh operations for the popular crowd carried out, today, a successful security operation by arresting the so-called” ISIS “criminal coordinator outside Iraq.

The statement added that “the security operation was based on accurate information and took place inside the city of Mosul.”
