South Korea approves Moderna vaccine

South Korea approved the use of the Moderna vaccine developed by the American pharmaceutical company to combat the Coronavirus.

The Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety decided to give the green light on the condition that Moderna provides a final report on the results of clinical studies after approval of its vaccine.

Thus, the Moderna vaccine becomes the fourth anti-Corona vaccine, adopted in South Korea, after the vaccines AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Janssen.

A review team composed of experts concluded that the results of clinical trials of the Moderna vaccine have proven to be 94.1% effective in preventing Covid-19, which is sufficient for approval, and concluded that there are no major safety concerns.
