Hundreds and thousands demonstrated, in the field of human rights, in the center of the Austria capital, Vienna, against racism and in solidarity with the killing of George Floyd, an African American, by the American police, where the demonstration was organized by a number of left-wing parties and human rights organizations in Austria and Europe.

Local media sources said that the demonstrators carried banners denouncing racism and discrimination on the basis of color, race, or religion, demanding an end to all human rights violations in the world.

The sources estimated the number of participants in the demonstrations by about 50,000 demonstrators, expressing concern about the repercussions of this demonstration in which the safety distance was not observed, and many weren’t wearing masks, which reinforces fears of a second wave of the Corona epidemic in the country.

Similar demonstrations have already taken place in several other European cities to protest against racism, before the police dispersed it, fearing the spread of Corona’s infection.

It is noteworthy that the American cities have been witnessing since May 25, mass demonstrations, accompanied by some violence, against the killing of “Floyd” by a white policeman.
