US President Donald Trump has criticized Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with calling him two-faced for failing to meet the goal of spending two percent of GDP on defense.

Trump added that Trudeau appeared to have two faces because of comments he made about him.

“Well, he’s two-faced,” Mr Trump said of the Canadian prime minister when questioned on Wednesday afternoon, and suggested the unguarded comments were based in frustration at US demands that Canada contribute more to NATO.

It’s Canada, they have money, and they should be paying 2 per cent, so I called him out on that and I’m sure he wasn’t happy about it but that’s the way it is.

“Look, I’m representing the US, and he should be paying more than he’s paying, and he understands it.”
“It’s in two ways”, Trump said when asked about Trudeau’s remarks about the president’s performance at a news conference at a NATO summit in Britain.

“I see him as a very nice person, but you know the fact that I told him the fact that he doesn’t pay two percent and I think he’s not happy with that”, Trump said.
