President Donald Trump, on Tuesday congratulated Boris Johnson for his success in winning the race to become the new British Prime Minister.

“Congratulations to Boris Johnson to be the new Prime Minister of Britain. He will be a great leader, “Trump said in a Twitter account.

Meanwhile, leaders from the European Union (EU) voiced the desire to work with Johnson to find the best solution to Brexit’s issue.

“We expect a steady collaboration with PM Boris Johnson to ensure that Brexit can be held in the best possible way for all,” EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier said.

He made a statement on his Twitter account shortly after Johnson was announced as the new leader of the Conservative Party, Tuesday.
