US President Donald Trump said on Thursday he was not ruling out a military confrontation with Iran, calling on the Iranian regime to sit down to negotiate a new nuclear deal.
“We can not rule out a military confrontation with Iran,” Trump said in an interview with Sky News.
“Iranian leaders have to contact me and sit down to talk about a good deal that will help them get out of their economic crisis,” Trump said.
The United States announced a few days ago that it was sending an aircraft carrier and B-52 bombers to the Persian Gulf for what it called a new threat from Tehran.
