Ukraine records 260 new cases of coronavirus within 24 hours

Ukrainian Health Minister, Maxim Stepanov, said today, that 260 new cases of the Coronavirus were recorded, and Stepanov added that the total cases of the virus in the country amounted to 18,876 cases, including 1,348 children and 3,969 Health care workers.

According to the Minister of Health, 24 children and 46 healthcare workers have been infected with the Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, and 13 deaths have been recorded. 5,632 people have recovered, while 548 have died since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic in Ukraine.

The city of Kyiv and the regions of Lviv, Chernivtsi, and Kharkiv recorded the highest rates of HIV infection during the past 24 hours.

In response to a request from Ukraine through the European Union’s Civil Protection Mechanism, Slovakia offered protective masks, disinfectants, and blankets, among other things to help the country address the Corona epidemic, and in coordination with the European Union, the delivery of this assistance to Ukraine, according to a statement issued by the Commission.

For his part, Crisis Management Commissioner Janez Lenarzic said: “The coronavirus must be dealt with on all fronts around the world, and I am grateful to Slovakia for the assistance of our neighbors in Ukraine.:

Janez added: “Only together can we overcome this virus, and the European Union is ready to direct more offers of assistance.”

The European Union’s Civil Protection Mechanism has already coordinated the handover.
