A video of the arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange by British police at the Ecuadorian embassy in London on Thursday after the withdrawal of Ecuador’s diplomatic asylum.

Julian Assange was arrested by London Metropolitan Police at the Ecuadorian embassy on a court order issued by the Westminster District Court in 2012 for not appearing in court.

Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno said at the same time that his country had decided to reject Assange’s political asylum and wrote on his Twitter page: “Ecuador has taken a sovereign decision to refuse to grant political asylum to Julian Assange because of repeated violations of international conventions.
