The Instant Messaging application ‘WhatsApp’ launched warnings that users who are using unofficial versions of the application may be banned, which in turn will stop the account and temporarily block the user.

Unofficial apps are WhatsApp Plus and GB WhatsApp, and the warning came at this time, especially after the application was subjected to an extensive campaign of criticism about protecting the privacy of users and the security of their information.

WhatsApp called on its users to abandon those applications and refer to them only to protect their numbers and data, as well as not to block their numbers from dealing on the main application.

The application also warned that archiving and backups for chats are not secure in the unofficial WhatsApp and other modified program.
