Former President Robert Mugabe has died at the age of 95, this was announced by the Zimbabwean President Emerson Mnangagwa on his official Twitter account.
Robert Mugabe, died in Singapore, where he has often been treated there in the past few years, an informed source told Reuters.
“I announce with great sadness the death of the founding father and former president of Zimbabwe, Mugabe”, Mnangagwa said in a tweet on the official presidential account.
Robert Gabriel Mugabe was a Zimbabwean revolutionary and politician who served as Prime Minister of Zimbabwe from 1980 to 1987 and then as President from 1987 to 2017.
